| The 48 Boards
The perspective at this site, where the general form and measures of the Tabernacle are concerned, is based on the idea that each of the 48 boards of the Tabernacle was some type of square assembly rather than a flat plank of wood. This conclusion is considered to be true based on the form and measures defined by the arrangement of such square assemblies according to the description given in Exodus 26:15 - 37 and the subsiquent interaction of these various discovered form values with other naturally occuring values. The number values and measures defined by this form and arrangement, based on the counting and comparison of the Tabernacle's 48 boards and their measures, actually correspond to many other various scientific number values. For example, Carbon to carbon bond angles as defined within the structure of diamond, angular measures found within the Star of David, values defined by a particular arrangement of the digits of PI, book and verse numbers defined in the KJV bible regarding specific statements of the generations and birth of Jesus Christ, as well as the bibles total number of chapters as divided by Psalm 117, which is the bibles center chapter, are among the "very unusual" corresponding number values discovered through this perspective of the wilderness Tabernacle. Thoughts considered to support this view of the square board design are explained in the "Square Board Theory", which should be helpful in understanding the square board perspective. The form and arrangement of the boards Each board, as described in Exodus, was covered by gold and the actual form or construction of the boards is not discussed in the Exodus text other than their dimensions of 1.5 cubits wide and 10 cubits high. As mentioned above all examples at this site, where the form and measures of the Tabernacle are concerned, are based on the idea that the 1.5 cubit measure given in Exodus refers not only to the width, but also the breadth of the boards, thereby defining the square shape considered in the examples. In this case a square pillar type assembly is represented by all illustrations of the individual boards themselves with the overall form and measures of the Tabernacle structure also being subject to this square board perspective. There are 9 illustrations shown in this set of examples expressing the arrangement of the 48 boards and the possible construction of the boards themselves, both of which are the result of the square board perspective and prayerful consideration of the evidence examined. The following 4 illustrations demonstrate the components and form of one possible assemblage for the square board design. The fashion of the square assemblies The following 5 illustrations show the individual structural components of the square board assemblies the first of which defines the structure of salt and is the template for the form of the boards. The fashion and arrangement of the components is based on the cubic structure of salt in such a way that the planes of symmetry on which the Chlorine and Sodium atoms would lie are represented by the inner and outer board components of the assemblies. This idea was derived from Numbers 18:19 which declares that God has made a covenant of "salt" with the priests and their sons and daughters with them. There is no explanation of why "salt" has anything to do with the covenant God made with them. Numbers 18:19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee. Since the form of the Tabernacle was so specific and important, so as to express the necessary aspects of the covenant, it was considered appropriate to apply the salt structure as a template to the fashion of the board assemblies since salt is specificly refered to with regard to a particular aspect of God's covenant with the priests. Some interesting number values are defined through the application of this perspective, ( see illustration, "Boards Standing, Salt" ). The inner components of the supposed square assemblies shown separately, ( see illustration, "Boards Standing, Inner Boards" ). The outer components of the supposed square assemblies shown separately, ( see illustration, "Boards Standing, Outer Boards" ). The inner and outer components shown assembled, which if based on the text in Exodus, would be considered a single "board", ( see illustration, "Boards Standing, Assembled" ). The assembled components of one "board" shown in position over its 2 silver sockets, ( see illustration, "Boards Standing, Silver Sockets" ). The proposed design for the 2 sockets of silver is based on the amount of silver prescribed by weight in Exodus of one talent and the square board design, which requires the sockets to be of particular form so as to accommodate the shape of the board, shown as a pair, ( see illustration, " 2 Silver Sockets" ). This set of examples All other example sets give more in depth and sometimes confusing explanations of the various numerical comparisons. Here though, regarding the basic design and arrangement of the boards, comments are kept to a minimum since it is not proven that the boards were actually square assemblies. These primary illustrations of the Tabernacle and it's boards are intended to simply expose the reader to the general concept of the Tabernacle's boards fashioned as square assemblies rather than flat planks of wood. The arrangement of the 48 boards The following 4 illustrations show the arrangement of the 48 boards of the Tabernacle as they would have been set up and demonstrate the form, measures, volumes and areas defined by the arrangement of the square board design. The general form of the 48 board arrangement is shown as assembled in this isometric view of the Tabernacle, ( see illustration, "48 Boards, Form" ). The shape and measure of the boards and their arrangement is responsible for the various number values derived from the examination of the Tabernacle's form. The measures of the board arrangement are shown in cubits from a top and front view, ( see illustration, "48 Boards, Measures" ). The various volumes and areas of the sanctuary, Holy of Holies and boards can be derived from these measures. The volumes and areas characterized by the Tabernacle's 48 board arrangement are shown and their measured values compared in these next two illustrations, ( see illustration, "48 Boards, Volumes" ), ( see illustration, "48 Boards, Areas" ) s s s s |
